About Spencer Carpenter
Spencer Carpenter is the founder of Outlier Audio, a full-service podcast booking agency representing entrepreneurs, authors, and investors, with a specialty in real estate investors. He came to podcasting from the music industry, where he spent over a decade in talent management and representation, event and festival organizing, and running a record label. When live music shut down during COVID-19, he saw business owners looking for a new way to reach people and built an agency around getting them on the right shows.
Since 2020, Spencer has booked more than 3,500 interviews for over 250 clients, generating millions of listens. That roster runs from solopreneurs and first-time authors to investment funds with more than $1B under management, Inc. 500 companies, and Top 10 keynote speakers. His clients have appeared on Entrepreneurs on Fire, The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck with Mark Manson, Motley Fool Money, The ONE Thing, Rich Dad Radio Show, BiggerPockets Real Estate Podcast, The Smart Passive Income with Pat Flynn, So Money with Farnoosh Torabi, Dropping Bombs with Brad Lea, and The Stacking Benjamins Show.
On The Daily Mastermind, Spencer joined George Wright III to explain why audience fit beats audience size when you pitch podcasts. He walked through his KAOR framework for finding shows worth pitching, compared hosting your own podcast against guesting on someone else's, and made the case that the real return on an interview shows up in relationships, search visibility, and reusable content — not in same-week sales. He also shared the client who booked fourteen interviews with nothing to show for it, then landed four clients on the fifteenth.
