All right, welcome back to The Daily Mastermind, George Wright III with your daily dose of inspiration, motivation, and education. It's a brand new year, a brand new you. It's time to unleash your true potential and really get you to a point where you are seeing progress, you're being fulfilled, and you're crushing it on all levels. Now, for those of you that have already been grinding, because I think a lot of you have already started your plans in December, that's great. But it's still a new chance to level up. And for those of you that haven't, it's not too late. Let's get some things going for you. I want to start you with the quote of the day, and it's from Herman Melville. Herman Melville. And it says, It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation. and I really like that quote today because I want it and the reason I do a quote of the day is just to give you some thoughts thoughts of inspiration but think about it for a minute you know it's like that that quote it's the comment that Jim Carrey made at his commencement speech where he said you can fail at doing what you don't like so you may as well take a chance of doing what you love it reminds me a lot of this same quote where it's definitely better to fail being authentic being yourself than to succeed imitating. Because I can't tell you how many people I know that have been successful, but not at an authentic level. And it really brings not as much fulfillment, but I think what you're going to find is you're actually going to achieve much higher levels of success if you are original, if you are authentic. So let's talk a little bit about 2024. And the topic that I want to talk to you about today for a short period of time is the prosperity pillars. because I want you to ask yourself this question. And if your thoughts really create your life and your thoughts come from the questions you ask yourself, then it's very important you ask yourself these questions. How is this year going to be any different than any other year? How is this year going to be any different? And what are you going to do differently? Now, you might have started to think about this, but it's time to nail it down. What are you going to start doing that you haven't been doing? The things you know you need to do to get to the next level. And maybe it's more important to ask yourself, what will you stop doing? What are the things that you're going to stop doing that you feel like are going to help you get to the next level? And also, how are you going to measure your progress? Are you measuring your progress? What can you do to truly, truly start to track and move forward with your daily progress? Now, it's important for you to really think about what kind of a decision and commitment have you made towards your goals. because I think a lot of people, the reason they lose their interest, their motivation, and their track record when it comes to setting New Year's resolutions is that they've maybe made a decision to do something, but they haven't made a commitment. They haven't made a commitment. Are you the kind of individual that says, I'm going to start doing this. I'm going to start working out. I'm going to start doing more focused work. I'm going to work on my unique talents. I going to do the things that I know will take me to a greater income or a greater satisfaction in my life And you make a decision to start it but you don stick with it And that because you haven made a commitment It so important that you make a commitment to the things that you doing And I want to ask you to go maybe one step further this year. Instead of just making a decision and a commitment, I want you to become resolved. Resolved to accomplish your goal. What does resolve mean? Well, you know, the definition of resolve is to decide firmly on a course of action, not just to decide, but decide firmly, or a firm determination to do something. A firm determination to do something. I think it's really important that if you're going to set some goals, I mean, how you do anything is how you do everything. If you're going to set some goals, create a firm decision and a commitment to not give up, to not stop. No matter what, you might have a down day, you might get off track, but do not give up through the entire year. I want you to focus on the goals that you have. And in order to help you to do that, I want you to go back to setting a real firm foundation. And that's why I want to talk to you about the prosperity pillars. Because the 12 prosperity pillars, which is the poster that I kind of, I put them in a poster for myself, actually. I created over 25 years of getting mentored by some of the greatest thought leaders and experts out there. I put this together because they are proven principles that have guided me, but also guided millions of other people. Some of the greatest names out there, Tony Robbins, Harvick, or Robert Kiyosaki, all individuals that I've worked with, worked alongside, or done marketing for. I pulled together all the key thoughts that I've kind of gotten from all of them, and that's where I came up with these 12 pillars. And I encourage you to take a minute ongoing all the time and to truly digest these principles and think through them. Because much like anything else, no matter whether you're a professional athlete, a corporate executive, it's always the fundamentals that are going to make a difference. So let's walk through these for a second. The first pillar is I create my life. You've got to understand that you are the one that's going to be responsible and take action and create your life. No one's going to come do it for you. Things aren't just going to happen. You can't wait around for things to happen. You need to decide, I create my life. And the second one being, I take personal responsibility. There's an empowering thing that happens when you take personal responsibility for your life. Now, you don't get affected by all the things that are happening around you as easily because you've decided that I'm going to be responsible for what's happening to me in my life because it's not going to empower you at all to feel like you're a victim, to feel like things happen to you and not for you. So understand you create your life and then you take personal responsibility and then third you've got to take action and that means I act in spite of my mood. The third pillar, one of my favorites, I act in spite of my mood. Nobody feels like getting up early. Nobody feels like doing things at the end of the day. You know, everyone wants to be able to kick back and take time off. That's just human nature. But you're going to make the decision that this year you act in spite of your mood. You do things regardless of whether you feel like doing them and you do what it takes. The fourth pillar is I surround myself with positive people. Now it doesn say I surround myself with successful people It doesn say I surround myself with people with money or or things like that I surround myself with positive people because I believe that there an energy that comes from positive people Positive people are going to help you stay in the zone, stay in that momentum. And positive people are going to help to feed your goals, your desires, and your dreams. The fifth pillar is I focus on solutions. This is a tough one for a lot of people because you have so many different things you're dealing with on a day-to-day basis. But if you start to train your mind to focus on solutions, you're going to be in an abundant mindset, not a scarcity mindset of dealing with problems. And it's a subtle difference, but you have to understand when you're focused on fixing a problem, you're focused on the problem. When you focus on solutions, things are going to come, things are going to happen, and you're going to create much more success. The next pillar is I create an attitude of abundance. It goes really hand in hand. But when you have an abundant attitude, you have an attitude where things are possible. You know that there's enough. You know that it's not a matter of limited resources. And this attitude of abundance always looks for the positive and the upside. And if you can maintain that attitude, that attitude of abundance, attitude of gratitude, it's going to take you towards your goals. And it's going to lead you into that next pillar, which is I choose to be happy. Happiness truly is a decision. It's not a destination. and I would rather be happily achieving than trying to achieve happiness because it's off in the distance. I think we need to understand that this year you choose to be happy at every stage of your life, at every stage of your business. Be in the moment and choose to be happy. The next pillar is I always think win-win. This is a great one in business because, and it could be even if you're a parent, right? I always think win-win because there is a solution that allows win-win and it's that abundant thinking. The next pillar is I am committed to lifelong learning. Let's make this year be the year that you decide to hone in on the skills that you need to really truly get what you need in your business and in your personal life. There are skills, there are techniques. Things are changing so rapidly in the marketplace that you have to be an active learner. You have to learn to continue to grow and evolve and develop. I learn all the time. I'm always starting my mornings with a podcast or something, I'm picking up new techniques and strategies. If you do that and you have that lifelong learning attitude, you're going to be open. You're going to be open to the stuff that's going to come your way and take you to the next level. Because remember, you've gotten here based on what you know. You're not going to get where you want to go based on what you know. It's going to be on what you learn. Now, the next pillar, pillar number 10, I believe, this is the one that I really want you to hone in on this year, and it's I create daily rituals. Now, I'm going to challenge you in a little bit on daily rituals, but it's very important to me that you create some consistency in your day and find a way to anchor yourself in. In other words, there are lots of different rituals you can do from reading and meditation and affirmations and working out and drinking water and nutrition and journaling, whatever it is. But there's going to be a daily ritual or two that are going to be the best for you. For me, it's working out in the morning. I know that when I work out my mind my body my energy my schedule better I get things done quicker when I work out in the morning Figure out what your daily rituals are that are core for you And maybe even find yourself what I like to call an anchor ritual. I have an anchor couple of rituals. One is I take a cold shower at the end of my really warm shower. I take a one minute cold shower. And that is something that I have not ever given up on over the last year. And so I've gone literally 365 days because sometimes when you get an anchor ritual that you really stay consistent with, you don't want to lose your streak, right? It might be meditating. It might be journaling. But find an anchor ritual that you're going to use no matter what you're doing, no matter how bad you're having a week, no matter how much up or down you are with your business. It's something you're not going to let go of. And it will keep you consistent so that you don't lose track and slip your momentum. them. So I create daily rituals is very important. The last couple are I attract success and I visualize and manifest my life. And I want to talk to you just two seconds about this. I attract success is so important because you have to believe. And remember, faith is a decision and belief will come from results and from experience, but you have to just have faith that you can attract the things into your life that you need. Because when you make that decision that you attract success, things are going to happen for you and things are going to come your way you haven't planned on and you couldn't hope to predict. And the last one being I visualize and manifest my life. And I believe that many of you do not put enough time into this. You cannot create a life that you have not create clarity on because you don't know what you're looking for. So it's important you take time every day, every day to visualize so that you can manifest your life. And those rituals, I believe, are a firm foundation for you going into the year. That's why I wanted to start right out of the gates with them. And then ultimately, I want to challenge you here in our last couple of minutes. I want to challenge you to this week, find your core daily rituals that you're going to focus and anchor in on. It might be one particular anchoring ritual. It might be a journaling or working out or whatever it is. Challenge yourself though. Don't just do the easy thing. Find your anchor core daily rituals and commit to being consistent with those. Because if you do that, everything else can go up and down and ride in the waves of life, whether it's your business, your personal, your finance, your health. But if you stay consistent with your rituals, you will continue to make progress, even if it seems like setback once in a while. So that's my message for today.
