Welcome back to The Daily Mastermind. My name is George Wright III with your daily dose of inspiration, motivation, and education to help you go into the weekend. I'm glad you're tuning in today and I appreciate you listening to the episode. Today is a new day. I know you've kind of heard that before and I know that many of you probably are struggling with various things in your life. I've had a lot of feedback from individuals lately and, you know, and it can be tough. I wanted to do something a little bit different today and just kind of talk to you about some ideas and solutions that might be able to inspire you with things you might be dealing with, you know, because maybe, you know, maybe, you know, you're feeling anxiety about some upcoming events or maybe you're struggling with, you know, paying your bills or handling your finances. You could be even dealing with some tough emotional feelings in a relationship or a partnership, or maybe some of you feel trapped in a business or a career that you're really good at, but you're just not satisfied with. You're looking for more in life. You want something a little different. Or sometimes things are going really well for us, but you simply just are having a hard day or you're having a hard week or a month for that matter. Sometimes it can carry on. Well, I want you to know that you're not alone. We all go through seasons and cycles in our life. And sometimes, you know, we simply, we don't want to hear that it's just going to be good for us or that we're going to grow or we're going to learn from it. Sometimes it's simply a time that we're looking for some support and inspiration. So I wanted to share a few thoughts with you today and here at the end of the week. You know, they go along with our theme for the week, which is prosperity pillar number five. I focus on solutions. But I want to also offer you some encouragement, maybe a little reassurance, some inspiration. and it made me think of, you know, a mentor of mine, Robert Stuburg, once told me. He said, when things are going tough, you know, don't forget to believe in yourself, you know, because the only thing worse than accepting other people's limitations or other people's limiting beliefs about you is accepting those yourself or accepting your own. You know, then, you know, you're allowing these difficult moments to get you down and keep you down. You know, he'd go on to say, you know, you can do anything if you simply remind yourself that you're unique, that you have unique talents that the world will benefit from and that you're enough. You know those words I know were always comforting to me you know and I want to extend those same words to you You know whatever you dealing with whatever you going through whatever it is that you have that you you know trying to learn and grow through you can do anything if you simply remind yourself that you are unique and you do have value and you do have talents and you do have importance, that you are enough. And whatever you're going through will pass. I can hear Les Brown saying right now, he, you know, he'd say, you know, your troubles are not here to stay. They've come to pass and they will be, they will be moving on and you will learn from things. But the bottom line is you can handle whatever it is you're going through. You know, you can start to create the life that you want to live starting today because today is a new day today. You know, it's hard to let the past go and it's hard to stop being anxious about the future, but your ability to be able to live in the moment and to remind yourself when you're in those tough, you know, troubled situations, when you can remind yourself of your greatness and your vision and your purpose, it'll make a huge difference. You know, and you can do various little things. In fact, you know, I have a little pen holder on my desk. It's, you know, it holds pens and pencils and things. It's kind of accumulated a lot of things over the years here, but it's a gift I received when I got one of my degrees. And, you know, the, you know, one day I happened to be speaking with one of my mentors, Robert Stuber, and he reminded me of these five key emotions that would guide me during any difficult time and key emotions that I could come back to. And I wrote these emotions, these five words, I wrote them on the back of one of my business cards and I taped them to this pen holder and it's, it's sitting on my desk actually right here. And they've been with me ever since for years and years. And I have these, and I want, I want to share them with you today because whenever I struggle, which we all do, right, we all have times that we struggle. I look at this card and it reminds me, you know, first, it reminds me of, um, the importance of staying grounded and, and, and bringing myself back to the mindset that I had when I'm clearly in my zone and in my flow and focused on my vision. And second, it reminds me of these five key emotions that I need to turn to when I need a boost or I need a little inspiration or I need a little bit of encouragement. So let me go through these with you. There are five words that are written on this business card on my desk. The first one is faith because you got to have faith that you can handle anything You have to have faith that there a reason or a lesson to be learned and that tomorrow is going to bring with it a new day. Because if you can have faith, then you can make it through anything. And the second word is courage. And you can write that down as well. Have courage to face your challenges head on and to have the courage to find solutions and not dwell in the problems. Courage is that extra little bit you're going to have to just step up and take care of business and face those challenges head on. So having faith and having courage are so important. The third thing is to have resolve, to be persistent, because you need to make the decision up front that you're going to finish what you start. You know, don't be just committed or make a decision, but be resolved to become the best version of yourself and inspire those around you to become the best version of themselves because things are going to come up. But when you have that resolve that you are going to constantly become the best version of yourself, then you'll remember that it's a new day. It doesn't matter what happened. It doesn't matter the mistakes you've made. It doesn't matter the challenges you've had. you can start creating today because you've resolved to become the best version of yourself and to take control and be a conscious creator of your life. And that's resolve. So having faith and having courage and having resolve, they are going to lead you in these moments that you need the most help. And the fourth word I have written down is compassion, which is kind of a little bit outside maybe the norm. But listen, don't forget to have love and empathy for other people. Show compassion because you never know the silent struggles that people are going through, you know, the private battles that maybe you're facing, other people may be facing. So be kind and be compassionate. You know, when you focus on love and compassion, you're going to attract that more into your life. You have to give what you're looking to receive. So giving compassion will help you to receive more compassion. But that's a key emotion for you to focus on. And fifth, and finally, my favorite one of all, gratitude. The fifth word I have written here is gratitude. This is the best emotion of all. I love it because the reason I love gratitude for several reasons. First, having an attitude of gratitude will bring you more happiness and prosperity in your life. Bottom line it will bring more of that into your life But second it such an amazing practice when you practice gratitude because being grateful and practicing gratitude are two different things But practicing gratitude is the quickest and simplest and easiest way to eliminate negativity, depression, anxiety that I have found, period. You know, think about it. I want you to try it sometime when you're not feeling 100%. I want you to sit down and just start making a list of things you're grateful for. Because when you start making a list, go as long as you need to, but lists of things you're grateful for, it's really difficult to be negative and depressed and anxious and things like that. So gratitude is an amazing emotion. So that's it. Just as kind of a review, I've got this little card and it's on my desk and it has these five words on it. Faith, courage, resolve, compassion, and gratitude. Those are the five essential emotions that I have on my desk. Now, listen, we all want a lot of different things in life, some monetary, some not, but I truly believe that what we're all really looking for and really seeking for are emotions, the emotions that the things will bring us in our life, the emotions that the relationship or the business or the validation or the recognition or the companionship, the key emotions those things are going to bring us are going to help us in our life. And it's going to help bring more strength and growth into your life as well. So those five key emotions are critical. That's something I think can help you. I certainly encourage you to take some time, sit down, and always get grounded in the moment when you're struggling and dealing with difficult issues. That's the message I wanted to kind of leave with you today. I hope that's something that'll help you. I hope it's something that'll get you thinking. You know, we're here.
