Welcome to the Daily Mastermind. How are you? It's good to get going, but let's do this. I'm going to cover some topics today that I really feel like are important. I'm going to spend about 10 minutes and do that because I want to be able to share this message with a lot of different people and then we can break and take a few minutes to discuss some things. So the other thing I want you to do, a lot of times I will do a message, especially on the podcast and people just be kind of like working out, driving, whatever else. This is one that I really feel like you got to kind of be present for. So make whatever effort you can to kind of ground yourself. And the message is really along the lines of it's time to really go all in, in your life. you know, I think there's a lot of things that's been holding people back because of the fear and the mindset and emotions and things right now. And I just want to kind of ask a few questions to get started. And that is, you know, is there something that's been holding you back for a while? You know, many of us in our life have had things that we've been kind of hesitating on. We've sort of have sort of done. But what is it that you've been kind of waiting on for a while that you really haven't pulled the trigger on. And then maybe you don't fall into that category. Maybe it's more that you feel like something's just missing or you don't know exactly what it is you haven't been doing, but you definitely don't feel like you're executing on a plan. And maybe it's not that something's missing. Maybe it's just that you're ready for change, right? So I really want to ask that question, kind of what's been holding you back and what's the reason that you've been hesitating so much? And what's the reason that you've been procrastinating? Because we all have different reasons, right? It might be fear of failure, which a lot of us have, you know, this fear of failure, even if you've tried to convince yourself, it's not, you know, a problem, it might be deep down, it might not be something that's obvious, or maybe it's a fear of what other people think. There's so many of us right now that are caught up and because of social media and messaging and things, we're afraid of kind of what people will think of us, or what people will think of our content, or what people think of our, you know, we fall into this kind of imposter syndrome. but maybe we just fear what other people think, or maybe it's our circumstances. There might be reasons holding you back because you feel like you don't have the time or money or resources, which is a whole nother conversation because your ability to be resourceful is the only resource that you need in order to make things happen. And maybe it's not even something negative that's holding you back. Maybe it's other reasons. Like in my case, a lot of times over my career, my professional career, family, things like this, it's that I've had too many opportunities, or I've had a backup, or I've had three different things I'm working on. And it's kept me from really going all in. And that's really the topic I wanted to kind of mention is what's been holding you back from going all in, because the only way to truly get to where you can unleash your potential and be everything you want to be and be the success and everything you want is only if you go all in. I mean, there's no way to kind of half-ass your way to success or at least not the level you want it to be. Like I said, I've had a lot, my challenge hasn't been negative things. At times it has been, but mostly it's been too many opportunities, too many paths, too many abilities to do things. And you know, the thing is, is failure, what other people think, and more importantly, regret of not going all in and creating what you want to create. That's the worst kind of emotion to live with. And the problem, that's what people are facing right now. They're getting to the point in their life where they're now looking back and going, man, I wish I had, or woulda, coulda, shoulda. And that's a huge problem. And that's why I'm really bringing this message up right now, because it is time to go all in. It's never too late to start going all in and doing what you know you need to do. It's right now is the time. And so you have to sort of be aware of what's been holding you back, positive or negative. But even if you don't know, and even if you not certain what holding you back or what it is that missing or what it is you haven been going all in on it is time to start doing that And the time is right now The time is right now before the beginning of the year so that you can sort of capitalize on that wave and that momentum and that stuff that going to be able to kick in at the beginning of the year, and you'll already have some things going. So I wanted to cover just a couple of quick steps, and then we can take a break and other people can go throughout their day on our mastermind group here. We can do some questions. But there's three steps that we've talked about before, and I'm going to remind you of, because it really is time to go all in. The first is you've got to make a commitment. And when I say commitment, of course, I mean, you've got to make a decision to do what you want to do. And you may not know exactly what the whole process is or what the idea is, but you have to take and make a decision to start taking some action in your life. And you've got to not only have that decision, but you've got to back it up with commitments. Because a lot of us make the decisions to do things, but we don't make the commitments to do them. And as one of my business partners would say, Robert Stuburg, he would always say, and a key element is to have resolve. In other words, it's kind of that third level. You can make a decision and you can put some commitments in place, but if you don't have the resolve to say, no matter what, I'm going to go. I'm going to go down with the ship or whatever it's going to take, but I'm definitely going to go all in. And sometimes that takes making a public commitment. Sometimes it's making commitments to other people, but there's a certain amount of commitment that needs to be made. And it goes back to this analogy of burning the boats, right? You've heard it a million times. If you want to take the island, you've got to burn the boats. And it's a tough analogy to use because sometimes people think that means, you know, and they mix up, it means you don't have any way back or things like this. But I want to be really clear on this for a second. You've probably heard where that came from. It came from the explorer Cortez burning the ships when he arrived. In fact, Cortez arrived in the New World with about 600 men. And the first thing he did was ordered to burn the ships. And basically, he did that because he wanted to send a pretty clear message that there's no turning back. And two years later, he succeeded in conquering the Aztec Empire and had all kinds of successes. But the point is this, you have to learn to create some certainty and you have to make that commitment and that decision that you're not going to look back, that you're not going to turn back. And this doesn't mean that you can't course correct and that there aren't other paths and there aren't things you can do. But it does mean that you make the decision you're not going to go back, to go backwards. And that's what we mean when we say burn the boats. And I think so many of us in our lives have never really burned the boats. We made decisions. We made some commitments, maybe even resolved. But we really didn't burn the boats. And if you're a leader or you have a team or we're just talking about you individually right now, you've got to learn that there are points in your life. And I think this is one of those points where you've got to burn the boats because you have to go all in if you want to have success. Safety nets are keeping you from success. multiple opportunities at the same time are keeping you from success. And that's a much deeper topic we'll talk about later. But it simply means you've got to make a firm, solid commitment to go all in with whatever it is that you need in your life. And you know what you need in your life. And then the second step besides making that solid commitment is you've got to create certainty. And I really like this because I've struggled a lot of times with that in my life where I've kind of been indecisive or I've made solid commitments, but I've questioned them. Creating certainty is not just something you have. It's something, like I said, you create. You create certainty by surrounding yourself with the right kind of people that align with your goal. It's the whole concepts of the mastermind, right? Two more people focused on the same thing. Not only support each other, but create other energy and things like that to help you. but you create certainty by surrounding yourself with the right people, positive, outgoing, aligned people. You learn your craft. You create certainty when you create mastery. The better you get at something the more certain you are the more confident you are the more ability you have to execute And you also create certainty by having a plan right So many of us are like I'm all in, I'm all in. And, you know, and I'll ask people that I'm working with, I'll be like, so now what's your daily routine? They're like, well, you know, it's like this and that, and I'm like, man, that is not a plan. That's like saying we're going to go out and play the NBA finals or the World Series. And we'll be like, all right, everybody get out there and do your best. That's not a plan. That's just effort. Creating certainty is a plan. When you have a plan and you know you're going to execute good or bad, win or lose, you had a plan, you can be more certain. This goes back to not just a plan or a strategy, but a vision. The clearer your vision is of where you're going, the more certain you're going to be that you'll get there. When you kind of sort of have an idea of where you're going, and I don't mean the path because a lot of times we don't know the path, I mean, where you want to end up, what you want in your life. Why are you doing this? What are you trying to create? The more clear you can get the clarity you can get on your vision, the more certain you're going to be. And the other thing, the other way to create certainty is to create and find ways to add validation to what you're doing. Sometimes you can do that with a mentor or a coach or a support group or these successful, positive people that are around you that can validate what you're doing. Sometimes it's just personal affirmations. Sometimes it's just telling yourself every single day. You're doing what you need to do. You're going to be where you want to be. You're going to create what you want to create. But the second step besides having commitment is creating certainty. The more certainty you can create, it's not just the more resolve you'll have or the more discipline or whatever. The more confidence you're going to have, and quite frankly, the more results you're going to have. The more certainty you have, that's why they say things like act as if, but I'm telling you can create levels of certainty, deep, strong levels of certainty, which will take you to your path. And then the third step is the obvious step, and that is massive action. Massive action in both productivity and activity. Now understand, if you don't have the path all figured out, but you're getting super clear and you've made the decision and commitment and resolve, sometimes activity is the way to get the ball going. You know, motion creates emotion, creates energy, creates results, creates new beliefs, new experience, gives you more confidence. And the cycle just continues, right? Because we all fall into this belief cycle. And you've heard me say it before. Belief is the number one obstacle you will have from being successful, your belief level. Sometimes it doesn't matter whether you believe or not, you make the commitment. You know, if you're a mountain climber and you can't see where that next ledge is, but the guy above you below, he tells you it's there. you just got to just make the decision it's there, but you've got to create belief and you can do that with the commitment. You can do that with certainty will help you, but you've got to take action to push through belief because so many of us say we want such and such, or we want this thing, but I'm here to tell you, if your actions don't reflect what you say you believe, then it's very doubtful you believe it. It's very doubtful you believe it because your actions are a direct reflection on what you believe. So sometimes you got to take those actions to create new beliefs and experience, because the more you believe, the more resources and effort you're going to put into it. And the crazy thing is, the more resources and effort you put into it, the more success you're going to have, which increases your belief, which allows you to take more action. It's just this belief cycle. We're only going to put our resources and time into something that we have belief in, unless you just act as if, unless you just make the commitments, create certainty, and take action. So you've got to take massive action. And that's why last week, we kind of talked about creating KPIs. We talked about accountability. We talked about putting boundaries in place. When you have accountability or accountability would be like to a mentor, a friend, a support figure, a mastermind group, or a partner that you have in a business. But the other way you do it is through boundaries. I did not want to do leg day today at the gym, Like but I knew Jeff was going to be there He was going to be texting me you know bring your purse next time if I don show up Right So like I had to show up and I did And the boundary forced me through 30 minutes versus just kind of sitting there because I do more sets in 30 minutes than I used to do in 90 minutes And I and I hobble out of the gym because I got a boundary something in place that makes me go do it. Um, and keeps me productive. And sometimes those boundaries keep you productive. Um, I talked with a couple of people last week, one of you on the call that sometimes you just schedule the meeting because you don't, you're not going to be prepared all the time, but guess what? You'll get more done by having the meeting than not having the meeting and waiting until you're prepared. So, you know, the bottom line is I really believe it's time to go all in on whatever it is that you're missing, whatever it is you want to accomplish, whatever it is that you feel like you're just not doing, or maybe it's just go all in on creating the best life that you know you can live. And it is time to go all in and do that. But here's the thing. You've got to remind yourself it's never too late to create your best life. It's never too late to start. It's never too late to be fresh. And you got to remind yourself that maybe you're at a point in your life where you're starting over, but you're starting over with a ton of knowledge and resources and information. And, you know, I heard an analogy the other day and I actually wrote down this little quote. And I don't even honestly, I don't even remember where it was from. It was a movie, which some of you may get. It seemed to me kind of more like a chick flick type movie. So that's probably why I haven't seen it. Maybe a lot of people have. I don't know. But it was this girl that writes obituaries and there's this editor that comes in and she's like the hardest person in the world to work with. They work together, but long story, that's not really what's important, but she wrote her own obituary and it was sort of her letter of resignation. And I've heard this analogy before where people have said, maybe it's time that you go through a death in your life. You've heard me talk about the reason I have the logo of the Phoenix is because you can truly, you know, the phoenix is a mystical bird that lives forever because it basically burns itself up in flames and rises from the ashes to become a better version of itself. And the idea of this, what's your phoenix story was really cool when I read this quote, because this quote, I'll just read it to you. It says, this is my letter of resignation. This is my obituary. The young girl who worked for you for the last seven years is dead and buried. She leaves behind a lifetime of indecision, hesitation, and fear. She will not be missed. She will not be mourned because she was really never alive to begin with, but she is now. And she has her entire life in front of her, an entire life just waiting to be filled. And that's the message I think some of us need to do. We need to write our own letter of resignation to the mediocrity that we have, to the life that we've been living. and going all in is the only way to do that. That's the only way to do it. And so that's kind of my message. I want you to consider going all in now rather than waiting to the beginning of the year because if you can go all in now, you can catch that little bit of wave now. When it really swells and it really gets to that point at the beginning of the year, you'll catch the momentum and you'll be light years ahead of everybody else. But it's gonna take some serious commitments. It's gonna take some serious certainty. That's the piece a lot of us miss, that validation of certainty. and it's going to take massive action. And that's really the message that I wanted to leave with you. And hopefully it's something that will help to inspire you, kind of motivate you, but help you to kind of question where you're at and what you want to accomplish. And so that's my message for today. I hope it's something that will help you and kind of share it with other people as well. And so with that said, I want to just take a minute and just kind of see, I just, we've got a few more minutes. I want to see if anybody on the call here has any questions, thoughts, anything that they feel like they've been kind of holding back on or any thoughts to add to that? Because I think that this is a message a lot of people need to hear right now. There's a lot of fear, a lot of hesitation going on. And not just with people on the call or people that we've been around, but in our marketplace and our society in general. And I'm telling you, it's never been an easier, better, simpler time to actually go all in. The resources that are available to you right now are just monumental. you
