All right, welcome back to the Daily Mastermind. George Wright III with your daily dose of inspiration, motivation, and education. And I'm glad you're here today. Thanks for joining me on the Mastermind. I hope we can give you some extra motivation to be able to take things to the next level with your business and your life. So here's the reality. Most entrepreneurs don't want to admit this, by the way, your business is never going to outgrow your mindset. I've seen brilliant entrepreneurs, people that were very, very gifted. And they, you know, they were individuals that I thought could really take it to the next level, but they hit ceilings, not because the market wasn't great, but because their mind wasn't ready. They might have had the best opportunity in the world and great market conditions. But the good news is you can reprogram how you think. And today I want to talk to you exactly about how you can train your brain specifically for business breakthroughs using a process backed by some neuroscience and proven in the trenches of the last 20, 30 years that I've been working with some of the greatest thought leaders out there. So let me start with this. I remember when I was scaling one of these companies that we've had in the past, past the seven-figure mark, and I'd kind of hit a plateau. and what I mean by that is I just couldn't I couldn't punch past that level and we had a great team we had really really good um executors um in the system and the products the leads like we we had leads we had conversion but but we were stuck like we just couldn't push past and and a mentor of mine asked me a simple question and and this is one that I wouldn't I would never forget he said George what do you believe about your ability to run a business at the level that you're wanting to get it to. And I didn't know what he was thinking at first. I was like, I don't know, like, of course, I'm pretty confident. But I realized through that question, and the question was, what do you believe about your ability to run the business you're trying to accomplish? And I realized that my own thinking was capping me at my current level. And I was still running the mental operating system of a smaller company, even though I was trying to run at a higher level. I was running on the latest software, let's say, that you had on your phone, and it just kept crashing because it wasn't keeping up. And that's when I dove deep into how the brain actually works, and I learned some really cool neuroscience stuff. The brain, bottom line is it can be trained. That saying you can't teach an old dog new tricks is not true. Just like a muscle, to operate at a higher level, that's what I want to talk to you about today because we can train that brain like a muscle to go to the next level before you're there. It's this idea that Dr. Benjamin Hardy and Dan Sullivan talk a lot about with operating from your future self. So most of us want to try to become our future selves, but we're not operating from our future selves. We're operating from our past and our current situation, but not our future version of ourself. because when you do, and you've got to be able to learn how to do that, you will make decisions differently. And so I want to give you a little bit of a mindset reset framework. Does that make sense? A mindset reset. And so the first thing we have to do is we've got to become aware. I mean, we've got to become aware of where we're at because if you don't know how you're currently operating, how many of you know what version your Mac is on? How many know what version your phone is on. Well, that doesn't even matter as much, although you know when you're having problems, you can go back there. You've got to know what version your brain is working on. Is it the current version of yourself? Are you getting caught up in the past version? Or are you slightly ahead, but you really not operating from the place you should So step one is to identify your default thinking patterns your default thinking You notice I said patterns because you can change what you don notice So let start by writing down your automatic thoughts. And I'm going to give you a little bit of a change here, not just write down your thought patterns, but your automatic thoughts that happen in stressful situations. When a deal is delayed, when a client pushes back, when you face a new opportunity, what by default happens. Start writing that down. Get a journal. Just keep a journal, a thought journal for the week, and start writing those things out. Man, this thing happened. This is what happened. Look for patterns. You know, do you assume the worst? Do you downplay your wins? So you're trying to identify both versions, positive and negative. For example, when you have a win, do you say, oh, yeah, you know, we kind of expected that. Do you downplay wins? Do you procrastinate on high-value activities and try to knock out your list on the low-value activities? See, when you start to look for your thought patterns, you will know what operating system you run out of. Are you trying to impress other people? One of my partners and executives the other day, we were talking about how a lot of times we seek that validation subconsciously. So we love the wins, but they're not the wins in the area that we want to be operating in. So start by identifying your thought patterns. Then what we have to do is we've got to, once we've identified those, you'll hear the term a lot, limiting beliefs, because I do think that is what holds you back. But remember, and what I'm trying to really emphasize here is it's not just your limiting beliefs that keep you from moving forward. Because a lot of us think of limiting beliefs as problems and things like that, but it could be your lack of a belief or a mindset. So limiting beliefs would be like, I'm not good at sales. But what I want you to do is I want you to reframe your limiting beliefs. So you become aware, but it's important to reframe them consciously into growth beliefs. So evolve your thoughts from limiting beliefs to growth beliefs. We're not going to go deep into why you have limiting beliefs, because I do believe you can just reframe your belief. I'm not good at sales, and a growth belief would be I can improve my sales skills through consistent practice. Does that make sense? or, you know, these things happen to me to I'm amazing at handling circumstances when they come my way. A limiting belief versus a growth belief. The key here is believable reframing, okay? Your brain's not going to buy what it doesn't believe. That's why sometimes we give these affirmations and our brain's like, no way, it's not going to happen. So the key is to create believable reframings. And the best way to do this is to use a bridge belief to transition. Let me give you an example. I'm learning to become confident in sales conversions. So you might not be confident in sales conversions, but you need to be to be at the level you want. And so when you say, I'm learning to become confident in sales conversions, or every day I'm getting better at sales conversions, that's the difference between a limiting belief and a growth belief. And every time you consciously reframe, you're rewiring your neural pathways towards a new, more empowering response. It's like you're rewriting the program, and there's always a way—this is something that one of my mentors, Robert Stubberg, told me early on—there's always a way to rewrite the belief in an empowering way. So if you believe certain things about yourself and you want to get to a place that's different? Reframe that question. If you say things like, I'm not good at sales, but you reframe it to say, I'm becoming a better, more effective, converting salesperson every single day. Or, I not good at speaking I am a constantly evolving confident speaker Do you see what I saying You can write that but you have to identify the things that are holding you back and then you got to reframe them rewire them so that you can then begin to install those on a day basis which is the third step The third step is, at least my recommendation to truly create neuroplasticity in action, is to install daily mental reprogramming into your daily rituals. Well, what do I mean by that? Well, just like working out, if you're trying to build a muscle, grow a muscle, repetition and frequency will build that muscle. It's the same with your brain. Repetition and frequency. First, you know, you got to consciously recognize just like, yeah, look, I need to get in the gym. I need to do this. I need to eat healthier. Once you recognize your patterns and you want to make a difference, then what you've got to do is you've got to do the lifting. You've got to do the reps. You've got to do the work. You've got to scale the unscalable like Hermosi would say. And so create daily triggers. And so I like to break my day down into the morning, the day-to-day, and the end of day. In the morning, I'll just give you some of my recommendations. In the morning, recite your future identity. I am the kind of entrepreneur that is. These are your I am's. I am, and let me be really clear here. A lot of people are like, I don't, I'm not a big fan of the, you know, affirmations. But here's the bottom line. Your subconscious doesn't know the difference. And so you've got to find a way to start to program your mind that you are the future version. because what will happen is you'll begin to make decisions out of that state. So I am confident. I am the kind of entrepreneur that does this. I am the kind of leader that does this. I am confident. I am, you know, whatever it is that you're looking for in your life, you know, I'm decisive. I'm someone who follows through. I'm someone who stays aligned with my vision. You've got to do that in the morning, recite those I am statements. And I have a list of mine. I don't, I don't want to get details into like what your life is because you might have your vision aligned with your identity in business and life as a husband, father, wife, you know, entrepreneur, whatever it is. But then during the day when you experience challenges, one of the recommendations I have is just to pause and take three breaths. So you're dealing with something, you've got a lot going on, just stop, take three breaths and ask, what's the best next action? Or what would my future self do in this situation? So if you create that little tiny ritual, that little trigger, that'll be huge for you as well. And then at the end of the day, I always like to recommend to my clients, whether it's mentoring or business or, you know, leadership team, write down the three wins that you had, no matter how small they are. You've got to train your brain to recognize success. And whether you think you had a great day or not, if you train your brain to knock out three wins, and there's always a win, there's always wins, you've got to just look for them, that will train your brain. And these mental reps of training your mind, starting the day right, dealing with situations by taking three breaths, these little daily rituals, they'll add up, and they will create a default mode of solution-based thinking. So instead of starting from the problem, you start from solutions. And so those are some steps, but I want to really highlight a couple more things for you. First, or next, upgrade your environment. If you want to go to the place where you can tell yourself, look, I'm training my mind for breakthroughs. Well, it's important to be aware. It's important to identify your beliefs and reframe them. and set up those daily rituals. But the bottom line is you've got to upgrade your environment for mental expansion. You are the average of the people you're around. You absorb the mindset of the five people you spend the most time with Science has proven this through mirror neurons and things like that So audit your circle Who is reinforcing your current level Who pulling you to the next one In other words are people telling you what you want to hear? Are they pushing you to the next level? And your environment also includes your books, your podcasts, your mentors, your masterminds, the circumstances that you're around. you've got to feed your brain with examples of what's possible. And think about that for a minute from your future self and your future version. If you want to break through to that version, would the future self be watching Netflix? Would the future self be scrolling their phone? Would they be listening to average stuff or would they be listening to books, podcasts, I'm not telling you exactly what you need to do. I'm saying you need to surround your environment with the stuff that expands your mind. And then I would also highly recommend you practice some kind of visualization every day. And look, visualization isn't woo-woo. Neuroscience shows that the brain fires the same neural patterns when you vividly imagine a scenario as when you actually experienced it. And that's a fact. The bottom line is if you can get really clear on visualizing what your life is like, your neurons in your brain actually fire similar to when you experience it. And so five minutes each day, just take five minutes every day and visualize a specific business win. It's like you hear Conor McGregor all the time talk about when he'd win a UFC match. He says, I've seen this a million times. He didn't say, I've tried to imagine this. He says, I imagined this a million times. and if you already have seen it and you take that five minutes, what's going to happen is it's not only going to train your brain to fire on those, but you'll operate out of that a little bit more often. And this builds sort of your mental blueprint that you'll start working on and it'll start to automate it inside what you're doing and how you're doing it. So I highly recommend that you create those daily rituals. If you do these things, I'm telling you, neuroplasticity is a real thing. The brain's ability to create new connections and get rid of old pathways based on how you act and think and behave is a real thing. You're essentially installing a next-level operating system for yourself by operating out of your future self. Your brain's going to be operating scientifically, wiring and firing around these new things. And so they're not just tactical breakthroughs, but they're also going to help you to stack your confidence. Because like I said, when you do things outside your comfort zone, when you do things repetitively that stack wins, that confidence is going to build that self-esteem, the confidence, the results. And it's going to be something that eludes outside – I'm sorry, eludes – that I can't think of the word. Just like projects outside of yourself to everyone around you. So if you're ready to really kind of make a difference in your business and have a breakthrough, you've got to find ways to not only with your mind and your actions and your behaviors, set up a bit of a programming, a reprogramming of how you think, what you do, and the way you do it. And I promise you that if you do that, you'll start to build in these automatic habits that will help you break through and go to the next level. So that's my message for today.
