Welcome back to The Daily Mastermind, your daily dose of inspiration, motivation, and education. And my name is George Wright III. I'm your host. I'm glad you're joining with me today. And I hope that you joined us on Monday and Tuesday. If not, you can go back and check those out because we are right at the end of a series of three episodes on how to Rewire Your Brain for Success, Mindset Hacks for High Achievers. And I'm really excited to be able to share these last few with you because one of the things I'm real passionate about is health and fitness. And I feel like your mind and your body has such a strong connection. I'm sure you know that. And so I'm going to share some ideas with you today that I think are really going to help you. Maybe they're ideas you've heard of, maybe they're not, but they're going to remind you of ways that we can help you to rewire your brain because your brain is one of the most powerful tools you have. And I think a lot of people know this. And even though they don't normally do things to proactively train their mind for success, I think most of us forget the fact that our mind is being programmed regardless. So you may not be doing things proactively like we've talked about in this short list I'll review here in a minute. But one way or another, you're being programmed. You're being programmed primarily from your external environment, your circumstances, the people around you, the business, you know, and partners and people you collaborate with. And so it's very important that you take responsibility for programming your own mind. And one of the things I'm going to mention before we get in back into our list is I want to do what I can to help you to build your authority as well. And I mentioned this because we have a brand new podcast that will be launching a joint venture we're doing with Valiant CEO Magazine called The Authority Formula. Many of you know that we've had on the cover of our magazines, Authority Magazines, and Valiant CEO in particular, we've had Grant Cardone, Kathy Ireland, Kevin Harrington. We've had a ton of celebrities, experts, athletes. And last month, or I guess this month, I guess it was last month, we had President Donald Trump on there. And despite what your political affiliation may be, there is one gentleman that has built a brand. He has built authority in a marketplace, whether people were attacking him, whether things were going right, whether things were going wrong. And sometimes you might feel like you're getting beat up all the time, too. There's some principles in that interview that I think you will find you can use in your business. And so go check it out over on Valiant CEO Magazine. In fact, I'll put the link in the show notes as well. So let's get back to our series here. I thought about doing this whole series, by the way, all in one episode. It would have been a little bit longer. but I felt we're talking about repetition and frequency. So I wanted to break it up and remind you multiple days in a row, because this is such an important factor. If you don't get your mindset and your thoughts right, if you don't train your brain for success, it's going to work against you. It's going to do things to do what it's supposed to be designed to do. It's going to protect you. It going to think about negative things so that you can be prepared for them It going to find the negative and the problems in areas It not trained to be the success seeker the positivity giver And that going to be up to you. And so I'm giving you these 12 hacks, these 12 habits that high achievers do in order to really program and rewire their brain for success. And so as a reminder, I'll just read you back through the couple we went through the other day. We had neuroplasticity, the science of rewiring your brain, visualization, which is literally mentally rehearsing for success, affirmations, which are going to be your way of programming your conscious and subconscious mind. There's habit stacking, like James Clear talks about in Atomic Habits. And then yesterday we talked about mental reframing, seeing situations as opportunities, not setbacks. Then we went on to thought-stopping techniques and eliminating negative self-talk, and then identity shifting, finding ways to act and move and think like the future version of yourself, and then finally, gratitude practices. Because we know that gratitude is going to help you to train your brain for the positive, and daily practice of that, by default, when, when, you actually are going to be happier, less stressed, and more fulfilled. So make sure that you're implementing those in your life. So let's get back in now to the last four ideas that I have. There's going to be a little bit more body related. The ninth hack would be sleep and brain optimization, meaning resting so that you have mental clarity. See, most of us are so, it's like a badge of honor to be grinding all the time, but most of us don't realize the quality sleep that you need in order to have the ultimate cognitive function and resilience. You want to be resilient. You want to have high-functioning mental clarity, but you don't give yourself the sleep that you need or the rest that you need. Now, I'm not saying you have to have eight hours like Jeff Bezos talks about. He prioritizes eight hours. And by the way, he did that even before he was a billionaire. But having sleep is important. So what I'd love for you to do is at a minimum have a consistent bedtime routine find ways to reduce the blue light that you have or being on your phone and things prior to and really really look at the sleep environment you have they talk about you know colder temperature is better not having work and and screens and things like that around you when you're sleeping get a place that you can sleep and you can you know get that rest and mental clarity and it will take your whole life to the next level but treat your brain with a little bit of a little bit of patience and a little bit of tender care and maximize that sleep. The 10th thing that I wanted to talk about is cold exposure. Now, I think that you've probably heard this a lot lately. It's sort of a big thing right now, but this idea of mental discipline. And one of the things that I personally have really benefited from is just a you know I not a big fan I be honest with you of cold showers and ice baths but cold exposure does boost your mental toughness And so whether it cold showers ice baths these things will not only help you to build mental resilience, but also increase your dopamine levels. You know, Wim Hof method, you know, you've heard about that cold exposure, enhancing your mental and physical performance. But here's just one thing you could try. And I've done this for years. at the end of your shower, just switch the water over to cold and take a 30-second to one-minute cold shower. Just finish on that. And I promise you, it'll be tough the first few times, but you can tell yourself that you're making yourself create mental discipline. And I think you're going to find that the dopamine, the resilience, the refreshingness you're going to have is going to go a long way. So cold exposure is big. Next, dopamine management. This is one I've got to really heavily, heavily promote because regulating your dopamine release is going to be critical. So many people, high achievers, by the way, they don't sit there and scroll social media and deplete their dopamine by scrolling and having things that are constantly interrupting their attention. In fact, if you've heard of the dopamine detox method, spend 24 hours offline, reset that reward system that you have in your life. But you've got to learn to control your motivation chemicals. You've got to learn to control your dopamine because this is something that you can't use to your benefit if you're just constantly getting that dopamine fix from social media, TV, you know, whatever it is that you're dealing with. So really think about how often you use your phone, how often you're looking at your screens, how often you're doing it and take time. Maybe it's just even weekends that you take away from that, but find ways to get detoxed off the dopamine and manage your dopamine properly. Then the final 12th area, 12th way that I feel like we can rewire your brain. And this is one you probably weren't thinking about, but I'm just going to give it to you. It's power poses. So I've done events all over the world. We've had millions of people go to our events. Um, I've had everybody from, you know, Tony Robbins, Les Brown, Robert Kiyosaki, Donald Trump, like everybody out there. And what I found is that not everybody has the confidence of a Michael Jordan, a Lance Armstrong. And so if you want to expand and promote confidence, there's nothing like boosting your actual, um, you know, physical feeling of confidence through power poses. And what that is, is it's like the idea of standing up with your shoulders back, your chest up, stand tall. And I know several speakers that even do this right before they go up. They just use that Superman approach. Put your hands on your waist, stand up, stand up straight for a couple of minutes, just standing up tall with your hands on your hips before a meeting, before an event, before you're going to go do something important. it will help to build your confidence and rewire your mental confidence They called power poses And if you look at your body language right now what is it Are you hunched over a little bit Is your head down Or is your head up shoulders back chest out, standing tall? Because when you just do that physically, your mind and your body will exude more confidence, even if you're working on it yourself. So that's the last suggestion I have for you in this series on how to reprogram and rewire your brain for success. But I just want to mention this one last time. The goal here is to reprogram your mind because you've had a lifetime of building habits, of building experiences, of building beliefs. And even if you say that you are doing what it takes to be successful, maybe your actions aren't reflecting that. Maybe internally you're doing it, but you're acting as if, and you're just not there. What I'm talking about is that internal world, that inner game. The goal here is your brain and your mind and your thoughts can be your most powerful asset, but it can also be one of your most vicious villains. And one of the most difficult things to work against, if you've been ever caught up in your mind, you know, depression, anxiety, stress, imposter syndrome, these all happen not because of circumstances in your life. They happen because of what's going on in your mind. And so the key takeaway I want you to think about with this series that we talked about is you've got to be proactive. If you could only do one thing, it would be be proactive in training that tool, that number one tool in your arsenal, your brain, to look for success, to be success oriented, to attract and have the energy that's promoted by a success-minded individual, the future version of yourself. I mean, the bottom line is we all have what's in us, the greatness we need to be able to create the life that we're meant to live. And I know you have greatness as well. And you might feel like you're doing it on your own. You might feel like I've heard all these things before, but what I'm saying is just don't give up. Don't stop and don't underestimate the power that you have of your mind and your brain to create the life that you're meant to live. So I do you, if you do me a big favor, if you'd share this show, I would like to do anything I can to be able to help you. So hit me up on the daily mastermind. I would love to be able to hear what you're struggling with your wins. Tell me what's going on, tag me in your posts. And, um, you know, I'll put my show, I'll put all of my contact info in the show notes. and if you'll share the episode, it would mean a lot to me and I think to a lot of people as well. So anyway, that's my message for today. I hope you have an amazing week. Tomorrow we're going to bring a major, major authority to you that's going to talk a lot about overall health. He's a powerful speaker and an individual that's sought out by his peers. His name is Michael Bennett. And so I'll look forward to sharing our episode with Michael Bennett with you tomorrow. Have an amazing day. you
