All right, welcome back to The Daily Mastermind, George Wright III with your daily dose of inspiration, motivation, and education. And I want to talk to you a little bit today about some principles you can take into the week. And I was thinking about it this weekend, and I have several really core principles that I have gone back to time and time again, ones that I've learned from my mentors early on. And one of them is from a mentor of mine that had really guided me through a lot of my CEO responsibilities as I grew one of my companies to a couple hundred million a year. And his name is Robert Stuburg. He's no longer with us. But one of the core foundational principles that he taught me was the lifetime success and fulfillment process. So I want to share that with you today. But before I do, if you've had any value that you've received from the podcast, I would really encourage you to like and subscribe. But give us a review and share this show. I think that there are a lot of individuals out there, especially CEOs, entrepreneurs, high achievers, that feel like they're kind of going it alone. And the reason I started The Daily Mastermind was really to help those individuals like yourself, like myself, have someone that and some source of information they could use in a mastermind concept on a daily basis so that you can get your mind, body, money, business, and lifestyle where you want it to be. So on Mondays, I like to really talk about foundational prosperity principles. And so we'll cover things like the prosperity pillars, things that I've learned over the last 25, 30 years from some of the greatest thought leaders, experts, success experts out there. I've had a really good career where I've been able to study and learn from some great mentors. One of those was Robert Stuburg. Now, Robert was one of the early executive vice presidents at Nightingale Conant. So that goes back a little bit. But if you've ever known anything about Nightingale Conant, they were one of the pioneers in the personal development space. They pioneered programs for everyone from, you know, Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins, Deepak Chopra, Brian Tracy, and many others. And Robert was one of those that really ran and helped develop a lot of those courses. And over the period of time in his life, he developed this process. It's a seven-step formula for creating your best life. And that's why he called it the lifetime success and fulfillment process. But the process is really, it's there to help you to understand that you've got to go beyond success in order to, you know, pass this idea of success and achievement to really truly find happiness and fulfillment. And so early, early on, when I was building one of my companies, I had Robert as a mentor of mine and he shared this with me. And I want to just kind of share these seven steps, this formula that he kind of shared with me. I want to share it with you so that you get a good idea of a way that you could structure your life, not just your business, not just your success, but your overall life. And it's called the lifetime success and fulfillment process because it's really an ongoing formula, something that you will continue to use throughout your life. And it starts with probably, and I'm going to share these thoughts directly from what he shared with me, but it starts with probably the most significant and powerful idea in the world, and that's the idea of the secret. Now, many of you have heard of the secret, the law of attraction, things like that. I think it's ironic that Robert published an audio on the secret, you know, long before the actual movie came out with all of those guru speakers and things. But it doesn't matter because really the point is this. The secret is really a very, very simple concept, which is that your thoughts create your life. Your thoughts create your life. And what you have to realize is that the very first important step, the first thing you need to do is recognize that the secret to life is that your thoughts create your life. We all have 50,000, 60 they say thoughts a day The problem is most of us have the same thoughts And so we have to really deconstruct what it is that really driving our thoughts And now keep in mind that there are three different things I think, and that Robert has talked about, drive your thoughts. You know, one is your DNA, one is your environment, and the other is really the essence of the person that you are, your philosophy. And so understanding that your thoughts create your life leads you to the second step in the lifetime process, and that is the question. So you go from the secret, which is that your thoughts create your life, to the question. What are the questions that are shaping your life? Now, why do we go there? Because most thoughts are preceded by a question. What controls our thoughts are actions and ideas, questions that we ask ourselves. So when you have a thought, a lot of times it comes from a question you're asking yourself, like, what do they think of me? What do I want to do? How do I want to do this? What do I need to do in my, what, you know, these thoughts and these questions. And so there's a really important part of this. And what I want you to really think about is what are the questions you ask yourself? And most of us will have what Robert used to call a dominant question or a core question in our life. Tony Robbins talks about that a little bit as well. And what is your primary question you ask yourself? Is it something like, what do they think? How do I protect myself? What can I do to make my life better? What is life all about? And so these questions that we ask ourselves, they're something that you have to understand because a lot of those questions we ask ourselves have presuppositions, meaning we already assume something, which is why we ask the question, like, what are they thinking about me, maybe your presupposition to that is that people are judging you. And maybe if you're asking yourself, you know, what can I do to make my life better? Your presupposition is that you are not happy with where you're at. But the reason I bring this up is because most progress begins with asking a better question. And so if you want to create thoughts that create your life, your thoughts are created by your questions you ask yourself. Really start to dig into what questions you're asking. I find it really helpful in my life to ask a better question. When you're dealing with trouble, when you're dealing with struggles, when you're dealing with circumstances, ask a better question. Find out, get inquisitive. So the first step in the lifetime success process is understanding your thoughts create your life. The second step is that your questions will determine your thoughts. And so what are the questions that are shaping your life? The third step is really your emotions. Your emotions, the emotions in your life are the ultimate condition that you're seeking. Because most of us think we're looking in our life for things, better income, better lifestyle, better relationships. But really, most people don't know what they want in life. And as a result, you know, you can't get enough of what you don't want, right? But most of us are looking for the emotions, the values, the things that we seek that those things give us. And so it's super important not to get just caught up in the trap of achieving, but really be proactive and understand what are the emotions and the values that you want to create in your life? What is it that's important to you? Because once you understand the emotions that you want to create in your life, you're able to back into what types of things will create that for you. For example, you know, I, early on in my career, I would, I was really chasing success, thinking that that success would give me the lifestyle. And, you know, you hear the saying, you know, work today like most won't, so you can live tomorrow like most can't, right? But what I didn't realize is that a lot of my work and hustle and grind was not creating a lifestyle that I enjoyed. And I valued more of the time and enjoyment. So you have to understand and look for what emotions and values and lifestyle you want It reminds me of what another one of my mentors once said you know we grow up thinking what do you want to do And people ask you what do you do And what do you want to do Rather than saying what do you want your life to be like? This goes back to what I said a minute ago with questions. A better question than what do you want in life is, what do you want your life to be like? So the emotions, understand, are the ultimate conditions that you're seeking. So you start with your thoughts, create your life and then you go into the questions that create your thoughts and the emotions you want to achieve. And the fourth step in this lifetime success process is the essential talent or ability, the talent that you have. See, life reaches a plateau for most people because they never really discover their unique talent. It's the most valuable thing that they can offer the world and we all have a unique talent. Your unique talent is something that you're excellent at and you're passionate about. So most people, for example, stay in an area of competency. And that means it's something that they're okay at. They're good. Maybe you're doing things and dedicating your life to things that you're excellent at, which would mean you're really starting to excel. Maybe you're getting some success. You're having some success in business and life and relationships. But ultimately, where you're going to find the most fulfillment, remember we're talking success and fulfillment, is to identify the area of your life that represents your unique talent. Your unique talent is something that you're excellent at, but you're also passionate about. It's something that you can kind of get lost up in time doing. It's something you can never get enough of. It's something that comes natural to you. It's communication. It's a deal with people. But as you grow and develop, your goal should be to identify and figure out what your unique talent is. Maybe it's strategy, maybe it's team, maybe it's communication. But when you identify your unique talent, that's where you will find major, major success. I've had many examples of this in my life. I've had people that have been super talented that have worked for me that are excellent at what they do, but they're just not passionate about it. And as a result, they don't long-term create the success that they're looking for or anything else. But the ultimate goal here with the talent is that when you can discover your unique talent and you can build your life and your business and everything around that in the service of others, then you will really truly find fulfillment, but also massive success. So you've learned the secret, questioned the emotions, the talent, and that leads us to step five, which is the goal. The goal, and I'm not talking about goal setting in general, I'm talking about the goal that will give you meaning and satisfaction. See, setting and pursuing the wrong goals of life is worse than having no goals at all. This is probably why so many people become delusional with the idea of setting goals in the first place. Don't spend your life chasing the wrong goals. Learn to pursue only the goals that are worthy of your time and talents and the ones that lead you to the life that you want to create. So setting goals for goal setting purposes is not the key. The key is to set the goal, a goal that aligns with your talent, the emotions you're trying to create, and the thoughts that will align to help you to do that. And so I encourage you to really identify what life goals you really want to accomplish. And then what it does is it leads you to step six, which is the formula. Now the formula, it's going to come off as very simple, but it's very powerful. So I want you to really, you know, step back and think about this for a minute. Once you know who you are and what you want and achieving your goal involves, you know, the day-to-day tasks and things like that, I want you to really think about this simple formula that Robert gave me. And this is step six in the lifetime success process. The formula is basically clarity So the formula consists of five parts right And it kind of the steps on how to really create a formula for success The first is clarity You got to determine what it is that you want very clearly Most people start down a path and they don really know exactly what they want And remember this could be the life you want the values the study whatever it is Then you got to align that with purpose This is another step a lot of people really lose track of If you want to create a formula for success, you've got to have clarity, but then you've got to align it around purpose. Discover what it is that you actually want and the why that you want it. Because when your motivation gives up, your purpose and your why is what's going to help drive that. So you go from clarity to purpose to strategy. Strategy is going to be the plan. That's going to be the one that's going to be day-to-day tasks. And once you have strategy put in place, you've got to decide what the priority is. So a lot of us have this strategy that's pretty overwhelming, but we don't identify the one thing, the top priorities that need to be done. And then we get caught up in busy work, not the productive work. We get caught up in the activity versus the productivity. Does that make sense? And then the final step is action. Got to have clarity with purpose and a strategy. Prioritize, then take massive action. Because if you're not taking action every single day, you're not going to make progress. Like I said, I know that sounds simple, but when you can apply this formula of clarity, purpose, strategy, priority, and action, there's nothing that you can't accomplish. And sometimes it's the simplicity that keeps people from moving forward. Okay, so where does that put us here on this lifetime success process? You've learned the secret is the thoughts control your life and questions that drive your thoughts. And you've identified emotions you're seeking in life and you've aligned it around your unique talent so that then you can set goals that are meaningful and follow this success formula we talked about in step six. And the final step, step seven, is the path. And the path is the journey of your life. And that is growth and abundance. See, the only life worth living from, you know, Robert used to tell me is a life of ongoing growth and abundance. Your ability to stay enthusiastic, motivated, and happy is going to determine ultimately your success or failure in life because success and failure is truly just a mindset. So the final step is all about resisting that status quo and constantly seeking learning, change, whatever fascinates you, right? The path needs to be what fascinates you in life. So that's a kind of a simple seven-step formula that I believe will guide you throughout your life. And it's kind of an overall success principle that I learned that I go back to. And I hope it's something that brings you a little bit of clarity, a little bit of perspective. You can use it throughout your life and determine are you on this right path towards success and fulfillment or are you just on a path of achievement? And so I hope that's something that'll help you.
