Today, I want to help you start the week off right by discussing a powerful concept: The Power of Intention and how entrepreneurs can attract the authority and success they desire.
Dr. Wayne Dyer often spoke about the power of intention. Many of you know that I started The Daily Mastermind to provide that daily boost to keep you focused on what truly matters. We cover topics like mind, body, money, business, and lifestyle—but most importantly, my goal is to help you unlock your potential and unleash the greatness within you.
On Mondays, I like to set the tone for the week with overarching principles that can elevate your mindset and business. Over the past 30 years, I've had the privilege of working with some of the greatest thought leaders and experts in the world. One of my biggest influences has been Dr. Wayne Dyer, and today, I want to focus on his teachings about The Power of Intention.
I’ve put together six key principles from Dr. Dyer that can help you leverage the power of intention—not just to build an amazing life, but also to establish authority and influence as an entrepreneur.
Stop chasing success and start attracting success.
Many business owners—maybe even you—push hard for recognition, clients, and leads. But the most influential figures in business attract opportunities effortlessly because they align with their intentions.
Instead of forcing things, shift your focus to providing value. Rather than aggressively pitching yourself as an authority, let your expertise and impact naturally draw people in.
A great example of this is Gary Vaynerchuk (Gary Vee). He didn’t chase media exposure—he simply shared valuable content consistently. Now, opportunities come to him effortlessly. You can do the same by focusing on serving rather than striving.
Clear intentions create powerful results.
If you’re vague about your brand, your audience won’t know why they should follow or trust you. The universe and your audience respond to specificity. So, be clear about your mission, your expertise, and what sets you apart.
A great example of clarity in branding is Marie Forleo. She positioned herself as a mentor for creative entrepreneurs, and because of that strong, clear identity, she built a massive brand.
Define your unique selling position—who you are, what you do, and why you’re different. When you set clear intentions for your brand, you’ll create a strong presence that attracts the right people.
Focus on the end result, not just the steps to get there.
We often stress about how to land big clients, get media exposure, or attract top-tier partnerships. But Dr. Dyer teaches that when you focus on the outcome, the path to getting there reveals itself.
Visualize yourself as a recognized authority. Picture yourself on podcasts, stages, and media outlets. When you do this, the right opportunities will naturally appear.
Take Lewis Howes, for example. He didn’t start with big connections—he just put himself out there, did interviews, and created content. Over time, he built a powerful brand. When you detach from how things will happen and focus on your vision, you’ll open doors you never imagined.
Align your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and actions.
Many of us say we want success, but our actions don’t reflect it. If you doubt your expertise, underprice yourself, or second-guess your value, you block the opportunities coming your way.
To truly harness the power of intention, you must align every aspect of your being with your goals. One way to do this is through daily affirmations, rituals, and habits that reinforce your belief in yourself.
If you think like an authority, act like an authority, and believe in your expertise, you’ll start attracting the success you desire.
Step into your future identity now.
The fastest way to become the go-to expert is to act like the go-to expert—before you even have the credentials.
Many entrepreneurs wait until they have a certain level of success before positioning themselves as experts. But that mindset holds them back. Instead, create high-value content, share your insights, and show up as a leader today.
Brendon Burchard is a great example. He started teaching high-performance habits before he wrote High Performance Habits. He acted as an expert, shared valuable knowledge, and built his authority over time. You can do the same.
Let go of fear and control—trust that your vision will manifest.
So many people fear rejection, failure, or the unknown. But Dr. Dyer teaches that you must trust your intention and remove resistance.
When doubt creeps in, redirect your focus toward faith. Remind yourself that what you’re doing matters and that the right audience will find you. The more you trust the process, the more you’ll attract the opportunities meant for you.
